Introduction to Political Philosophy

This blog is about United States government and politics. The blog will discuss various aspects of our government and its political ideals. In addition, there will be discussions regarding political philosophies of different people and different political parties. In whole, I shall be discussing how these political ideologies affect our government and economy. Political philosophies not only differ between political parties but it also differs between individuals in those parties.
Since the very beginning, the ideals of political parties and people have shaped this nation. The two big political parties that dominate the American political landscape are: the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. Republican philosophy is based on a limited influence of government and a dominant foreign policy. Republicans are usually considered conservative, pro-business and against the bureaucracy often associated with big government. On the other hand, Democrats are considered more liberal. They tend to favor an active role for government in society and believe that such involvement can improve the quality of people’s lives and help achieve the larger goals of opportunity and equality.
In this blog, I shall simply expand on the philosophies of these two parties and their politicians.
